Dan has been in the VFX and animation industry for the past 10 years, having a strong diversity of skills has given him the opportunity to take on numerous roles in film-making and commercial work. Always striving to understand the consciousness of his subjects, his character animation is particularly beautiful.

The nitty gritty

He started his career working as a Technical Director with Academy Award winning Weta Workshop where he where he took on the technical task of animating digital hair and cloth for Richard Taylor.

After leaving NZ for the UK, He worked in a wide range of media sectors, including - TVC's, music videos, more animated television productions and Feature Film. A highlight was working on creature animation for John Carter.

After returning home he paired up with Pete Circuitt to form what is now Studio Local.
