Cuts in directly after the current scripted ending as they walk to the ship, engaged in some banter. This idea unpacks a rise to fame in a short montage of cut scenes, from small venues to stadiums in Old Zealand. The classic musical journey. It will show a possible future that Growley is selling to Manny in the film & would also function as a nice device to lay out the credits. This idea doesn't change the ending per se, but shifts gears to elevate the energy of the final scene while also supporting the proof-of-concept mantra, as the cutscenes hint at what a longer film might explore. The image below serves as a starting point for this idea, depicting Growley enjoying a pint at a small pub as Manny explores his stage persona and songs. The animation method in mind is very simple like in the ref. Lots of static 2.5D and single hero animations.
